We’re OOME.
Honestly, we started this because we knew we could do better.
There are so many products out there, but very few that actually give value. I mean real value, where the quality makes sense for the price, where you feel like the product was actually made with some thought. That’s missing. And we wanted to fix that.
We’re not trying to sell dreams. We’re here to build a product that works, looks good, lasts long, and doesn’t make your money regret. Simple!
Let’s start with something basic: power strips.
You’ll find hundreds of them in the market, online, offline, wherever. Go to any local store in Mumbai and you’ll see ₹50–₹100 power strips. You’ll see the same online, just filter by “low to high.”
But let’s be honest — most of these are trash.
Cheap plastic that feels like it’ll break just by looking at it. Wires so thin they heat up. Loose sockets. Fake-looking design. Terrible build. These are not products built to protect your devices. They’re made to sell, that’s it.
Now imagine this:
You’ve got your TV, router, set-top box, and home theater all connected through one power strip at your TV setup. One day, it stops working. What do you do? You don’t wait. You head out, go to the nearest store, and ask the shopkeeper, “Bhai, ek accha powerstrip chahiye.”
Now, what happens next depends on luck.
If you know a few good brands and what quality means to you, then great. But if you don’t, the shopkeeper gives you three choices:
- Super cheap one that looks like it’ll break if you breathe on it.
- Super expensive one that makes you question your life choices.
- One that gives him the best margin and not necessarily the best for you.
Bad quality power strips can damage your connected devices, and good quality ones often come at a high price. So you’re stuck choosing between price, quality, safety, and performance.
That’s the problem. And that’s why we created OOME.
We didn’t build OOME just to launch “another” powerstrip. We built it because we actually give a damn. We wanted to make something that just makes sense
So here’s what we made one: OOME Powerstrip
We used solid, fire-retardant V2 grade plastic that doesn’t melt, doesn’t burn, doesn’t yellow. It’s glossy white, curvy, and clean — yeah, it was hard to get that finish, but we did it. Because why should your power strip look like an eyesore? It sits right next to your TV or on your desk. It should blend in, maybe even stand out a bit.
Inside, we used brass terminals instead of aluminum because brass passes electricity better, about 28% better, and it’s also corrosion-resistant, which means it lasts longer. It doesn’t wear out fast, doesn’t loosen up, and gives you reliable power. For the wire, we used pure copper instead of mixing in a cheaper alloy. Why? Because copper carries power more efficiently and is super durable, it’s the kind of wire you can count on for decades.
We designed the sockets with high withdrawal force, meaning once you plug in something, it stays. No sparks. No shaky connection. Just a snug, safe fit. The plug is molded too, not some glued-together thing that breaks in six months.
And then we added real multilevel protection. A replaceable fuse that cuts off during overcurrent so your power strip dies, not your TV. And an MOV (Metal Oxide Varistor) that absorbs voltage spikes, like lightning or sudden mains surge.
We’re giving straight 2 years of warranty, but I am pretty sure that this powerstrip will last for two decades, only if there is no lightning and huge spikes, because we believe in our product. Because this is not a compromise. We didn’t build this to just be “another” power strip.
Now let’s talk about what most other brands are doing.
Look, most brands aren’t actually building their own stuff. They’re outsourcing or white labeling everything. Some don’t even know what’s inside the product. It’s just imported from China, logo slapped on, and shipped out. That’s it. No R&D, no real testing, no thinking about what works for Indian homes or conditions. It’s all about cutting costs, speeding things up, and selling as much as possible. That’s why you see ten different brands selling the same-looking products in India, because it literally is the same thing, just with different names and price tags. They’re not trying to build something better. They’re just trying to sell fast and move on.

We built it because we genuinely wanted to make something better.
A power strip sounds like a small thing. But it’s not. It’s what powers the stuff you actually care about. Your living room’s TV, your office workspace, your gaming setup, and your appliances in your home kitchen. And most people don’t realize how much risk they’re taking by buying a random power strip.
We’re not here to scam you with flashy packaging or overpriced nonsense. We’re not here to chase discounts or sell things that look good only on Amazon renders. We’re here to set a new standard. One that doesn’t make you choose between design, durability, quality, and price. One where you get all these things
That’s OOME.
We started this brand because we were tired of choosing between “cheap and risky” or “premium and overpriced.” We wanted to create something better. For real people. For ourselves. And for everyone who’s had enough of buying crap that doesn’t last.
So next time your power strip gives up, don’t repeat the cycle. Don’t let the shopkeeper decide for you. Because we made this one for people like you.
